YES! to Sustainable MSMEs

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment has immense growth potential and is often referred to as the backbone of the Indian economy. MSMEs play a critical role in India’s economic growth by realizing the ‘Make in India’ mission. However, the sector also accounts for a significant portion of India’s total industrial pollution, largely due to the use of obsolete technologies and nascent management practices.

We have partnered with Foundation for MSME Clusters; Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, and Society for Energy Engineers and Managers to launch YES! to Sustainable MSMEs to support the sector in adopting best practices in energy efficiency and occupational health and safety. The initiative will enable MSMEs to integrate sustainability into their operations, reduce overall carbon footprint and improve their occupational health and safety systems.
